The DuPage Care Center (DPCC) was founded as the Alms House in 1888, a home for the County’s indigent and elderly. The Care Center’s mission is to provide quality long-term and rehabilitation services to residents of DuPage County in a professional, cost effective manner. Those who reside at the DPCC cover all ages over 18, some even over 100 years.
Many changes have taken place at the Care Center through the years as it has grown to over 360 beds. Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapies are offered by a highly qualified staff to those who require them. Outreach services into the community include professional training for nurses, nursing assistants, pharmacists and social workers. A great variety of recreational activities are also available to residents.
The DuPage Care Center Foundation hopes to support this progress into the 21st Century.
